Location: the hotel was just off Jeronimos Monastery, the famous bakery where one can get Portugal's first and best Pasteis de Nata, and the tranquil tropical gardens. We could drink something at Manuelino, located 1 km away.

The themed room was exceptionally nice and the bathroom was luxurious.

The garden setting with resident cats was good.
First of all, the shower room was uncomfortably cold, and it flooded after each use. The lack of privacy was disappointing. The supposed 'private' garden area is far from private. To top it off, we found ourselves with barely enough room for our luggage in a cramped suite that used to be a closet-definitely not what we expected.

The rollercoaster I didn't see coming
Good stay thanks to a charming backyard filled with orange blossoms and a friendly resident cat. The host's thoughtfulness, including a birthday gift.
Check-in was confusing, and noise from the garden in the mornings disrupted the calm atmosphere I expected.

The suite with terrace offered a peaceful escape, with outdoor space right outside our door. The garden was beautiful, and the resident cats added charm to our stay. Enjoyed the fruit buffet each morning, bringing a refreshing start to the day. The only drawbacks were the confusing check-in process and some noise from the garden area, which affected the overall tranquility.
